IPHONE 5 : Comparison with 4S

The World was eagerly waiting for the launch of IPHONE 5 but to everyone’s surprise it was not a huge breakthrough from the previous IPHONE 4S. In this article I will concentrate more on the improvements of IPHONE 5 over IPHONE 4S.

IPHONE 4S

The wait for the most anticipated gadget of the year is finally over. While all were hoping for the IPhone 5,the Apple called it as IPHONE 4S and  looks a lot like the iPhone 4, but at least it comes in white right off the bat.

 

It also has some other nice features that the iPhone 4– namely Siri and a beefed up camera. And of course it will launch with Apple’s new operating system iOS 5.The most significant part of today’s iPhone news, however, is that the device is coming to Sprint (in addition to AT&T and Verizon). This should be huge for both Sprint and Apple.

Let’s have a look at its features….

SIRI

It’s the intelligent assistant that helps you get things done.All you have to do is ask…..

Now you can use your voice to use your iPhone. Just talk to Siri as you would to a person: “Do I need an umbrella?” or “Any great burgers around here?” or “Where’s the closest ATM?” Siri not only understands what you say, it knows what you mean.So when you say “Ant great burgers around here?” then SIRI will reply “I found a number of burger restaurants near you”.Then you can say “How about tacos?” .Siri remembers that you’ve just asked about restaurants so it will show all the Mexican restaurants near your place.

 

It heilps you do the things you do everyday.Ask Siri to text you dad,remind you to call the dentist ,find directions and it will figure out which apps to use and what you are talking about.From your contacts Siri will know your friends,boss,family members and co-workers.So you can tell Siri things like “Text Ryan I’m on the way”  and it exactly  knows what you mean and what to do.

IPHONE 4S takes dictation. Just your voice.Instead of typing,tap the microphone icon on your keyboard.Then say what you want to say and iphone listens.Tap done and iphone converts your words to text.You  can use dictation to write notes,messages,search the web and more….

 

Then, just like a personal assistant Siri makes phone calls, sends messages, schedules meetings, sets reminders, and more. How much more? Just ask, and Siri tells you that, too.

DUAL CORE A5 PROCESSOR

It sports a speedy A5 dual core processor ,which runs 2x as fast as the A4 processor  which is present in the present in the present iPhone 4.Two cores in the A5 chip deliver up to two times more power and up to seven times faster graphics.And you’ll feel the effects. Fast. iPhone 4S is quick and responsive, which makes all the difference when you’re launching apps, browsing the web, gaming, and doing just about everything. And no matter what you’re doing, you can keep on doing it. Because the A5 chip is so power-efficient, iPhone 4S has outstanding battery life.

CAMERA

With 8 megapixels and all-new optics,this just might be the best camera ever on a mobile phone.  Perhaps the biggest improvement in iPhone 4S over iPhone 5 is its rear camera.As Apple is taking aim at upending the point-and-shoot camera market,they upgraded the built-in camera to 8 megapixels(from 5mp).But that’s just the tip of the ice-berg.The new camera supports true 1080p HD video(at 3ofps),and even has real-time image stabilization and temporal noise reduction for improving video quality.With new face detection the camera is smart enough to know whether your taking a portrait or a group shot.

Retina display

AIR PRINT

AIR PLAY

With AirPlay, you can wirelessly stream what’s on your iPhone to your HDTV and speakers via Apple TV. And with AirPlay Mirroring, whatever you see and do on your iPhone appears on your HDTV at the same time. AirPlay Mirroring lets you share exactly what’s on your iPad 2 or iPhone 4S with everyone in the room.
